丂丂丂Disease Proteomics for Multifactorial Disorders丂丂丂丂丂丂 丂丂丂丂丂丂丂


丂丂In fiscal year 2002, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology formed the research education base of the world highest level to the university in our country in each study field as for the 21st Century COE Program. This project has aimed at training of creative personnel that leads the world and the improvement of the research level and at making an irradiative university which has global competitiveness by emphatic support of the Ministry.

丂丂丂丂About 20 project bases of each field have been adopted so far. A research and an educational base of "Disease Proteomics for Multifactorial Disorders," that the University of Tokushima graduate school medicine research course proteomics medicine science research, the molecular zymology research center and the genome function research center concentrated, were adopted in 2003 fiscal year when the medicine system was recruited. The research of multifactorial disorder, which is caused by metabolic diseases such as diabetic and osteoporosis, autoimmune diseases of allergy and collagen disease and two or more hereditary determinant and environmental agent like tumor disease etc. that make cancer metastasis the main target etc., is a project which based on the technique of proteomics. These multifactorial disorder is sick according to aging in the society and the change in the lifestyle, etc. which gets a lot of people.

 丂丂丂丂This project aims to attempt the promotion of the talent who provided with an excellent idea that leads life sciences and medical studies on the 21st century and a new skill through the establishment of the collection system of the specimen material, state-of-the-art analytical center, and establishment of proteomics education and research base in Japan.
